“We only stayed two nights and did not use the restaurant or any other facilities, so I can only review things to a limited extent. The venue looks impressive from the outside but is obviously a conference venue so is lacking character inside - not a criticism but an observation. The king-bed room was clean and spacious but the shower was hit-and-miss regarding temperature (my partner ended up having a cold shower and yet my shower was fine). “The hotel was ok, a small section was a nice historical building with character but large bits are new and dated and not in a good way. The rooms where very hot and not air conditioned, it was cooler going outside in the 30+ def then it was in the room. By biggest annoyance was the parking l, they have lots of it but it’s an extra £7 a night per vehicle, not per space. “Lovely property. Front desk staff very helpful. Requested housecoats and slippers, slippers never came, housecoats was the rattiest thing I have seen, would fit a child and both had no ties. I stayed two days and they never vacuumed my room and there was a spider on the ceiling and a huge cobweb in the window that I cleaned. I had to ask three different people to fix the safe before it was fixed. Dining staff was extremely slow with picking up dishes and the food was not very flavourful for……
